Activator:
This is a hand-held object, which looks like a glorified pen with wings; it is used to deliver a high velocity, low amplitude “thrust” to a patient’s joint, having a similar, but lesser effect to a normal chiropractic adjustment. This is used primarily on patients who are too tender, or too restricted to treat normally with chiropractic.
Possible side-effects include soreness, and minor bruising.
